What are the basic ingredients in making Potli Samosa?
- 2 Cups plain flour
- 4 tablespoons of oil, salt , water 30 grams of chopped carrots
- 30 g cabbage finely chopped
- 30g capsicum finely chopped
- 1/4 cup peas
- Boiled and mashed potatoes
- 1 tablespoons garam masala
- 1 finely chopped onion
- 1 green chili
- 1/2 tablespoons cumin seeds
- 1/2 tablespoon fennel
- 1/2 tablesoons Kasuri fenugreek
- 30 g green coriander,
- 1 tablespoons oil
- 1/2 tablespoon coriander
- 1 tablespoon ginger
- 1/2 tablespoon amchoor powder
How to make a Potli Samosa easy recipes Step by Step
Step-1: First mix flour, salt, oil and water in a big vessel and make a dough. Now cover this dough with a wet cloth and keep it aside for 30 minutes.
Step-2: After some time knead the flour again and divide it into small portions. To prepare potli samosa filling, first heat oil in a pan, add cumin seeeds and fennel seeds and fry for a while.
Step-3: After that add ginger, green chillies and onions and saute for a while. Now add coriander powder, garam masala, amchoor powder, salt and mix well and cook for a while.
Step-4:Now add mashed potato and mix all the mixure well, take it off the gas and add kasoori methi and coriander and stir well.
Step-5: To make samosa potli, you have to roll a small ball of dough like a roti and fill it with some stuffing. Brush the edges of the rolled bread with a little water. Now bring the edges together to shape the samosa into a potli and seal the potli by gently pressing it.
Step-6: Now heat oil in apan on medium heat and fry the potli until golden brown and crispy. Your tasty potli samosa is ready. Serve it with tea along with your favourite green chutney.
