How to make a Mumbai's style Famous Chatakedar Masala Pau Bhaji 


What are the basic ingredients in making Mumbai style Pau-bhaji?

  • 8 Pav
  • 4 Tablespoons of butter
  • 3 to 4 tablespoons red chili-garlic paste
  • One cup of finely chopped onion
  • One cup of finely chopped shimla chillies
  • 2 cup finely chopped tomatoes
  • 2 tablespoons of cayenne pepper
  • one tablespoons of paubhaji masala
  • one tablespoons of coriander
  • one tablespoons of lemon juice
  • one spoonful of oil
  • salt to according you taste

How to make a Mumbai style famous Pau-bhaji easy Step by Step recipes

STEP-1: Heat the butter in a wide pan and add the onion and saute until translucent.When it gets fried a little, add the garlic paste.


STEP-2: Add simla chillies and saute for a few minutes. Add the dry spices and saute for one to two minutes more.


STEP-3: Now add tomato and salt, cook till tomato become soft. Then mash a little with a masher and add 1/4 cup of water and lemon, cook on low flame.


STEP-4: After a few minutes the masala will thicken and the butter will rise. Add coriander leaves and turn off the flame. Take the masala in another vesseln and keep aside.


STEP-5: To make the masala pav, heat the vessel in which the masala is prepared. Cut the pav in half. Put a little butter, half a teaspoon of pavbhaji masala and some coriander in a pot and fry the cut pav from both sides.


STEP-6: Now put he prepared masala on the lower side of the pav and place the other half of the pav on top, fry the pav a little from both sides.


STEP-7: Sprinkle some spices, onion and coriander on top and serve hot.
